Maassluis, 5 November 2024 – Today, Lely announces the appointment of Maartje Bouvy as their new Chief Financial Officer. In her role at Lely, Bouvy will lead the Finance, Legal, PMO & Risk and Tax departments. Bouvy joins Lely per 11 November 2024.

Today Lely announced that its CFO Ronald Eikelenboom will pursue his career outside of Lely after ten years at the Dutch robotics manufacturer.

The PPS 'Reinventing Circular Dairy Farming' was launched today. In this Public Private Partnership, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, Wageningen Livestock Research, Slootsmid, Nederlands Centrum Mestverwaarding, Hanskamp and Lely are working together. The pilot project aims to research how urine can be used as a fertiliser substitute. Using urine as a manure stream can help improve the circularity of a dairy farm.

Maassluis, May 15 2024 - Today the 50,000th Astronaut was handed over to its new owner at the Balmoral Show in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. John Henning OBE, 37th president of the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, was present to celebrate this momentous milestone. Since its commercial introduction in 1995, the Astronaut has revolutionized dairy farming. Currently the Astronaut milking robots milk over 2.500.000 cows daily in over 50 countries worldwide.

Lely is pleased to announce its partnership with Acorn. In addition to reducing CO2 emissions, the company will take responsibility for all emissions from its own operations in 2023. With the purchase of the Carbon Removal Units, Lely is offsetting around 7,200 tonnes of CO2 equivalents. By doing so, the family-owned company also gives a positive impetus to making agriculture more sustainable and the Carbon Removal Units generate an additional income stream for small-scale farmers.

Robot manufacturer Lely and Konrad Pumpe GmbH, the innovative specialized company for plant engineering, join forces by entering an official partnership. As of October 2023, Lely will add the Konrad Pumpe GmbH dosing systems to their feeding portfolio and distribute them via the Lely Center network. This allows Konrad Pumpe GmbH to expand its business area, while Lely International enables Lely Centers to offer their farmers new possibilities in working with the Lely Vector automatic feeding system. The partnership is a result of previous collaboration while installing different dosing systems together.
