Upgrading your farm setup
Upgrades are modular, so you can choose one or multiple upgrades depending on your needs. Please note that Astronaut Operating System 2 (AOS‑2) is required before any other robot upgrades can be installed. Your local Lely Center will advise on the right upgrade path and the best combination for your farm.
Astronaut Operating System 2 is the technological foundation of Astronaut A5 Next. It is required to enable and support other robot upgrades, such as the Automatic Milk Filter, Milk for Use and Teat Detection System 2+.
Lely Hub can be installed independently and does not require AOS‑2, although combining Lely Hub with AOS‑2 is recommended to benefit from enhanced stability, security and remote support.
The upgrade program is designed for the Lely Astronaut A5. Robot‑related upgrades, such as Astronaut Operating System 2, the Automatic Milk Filter, Milk for Use and Teat Detection System 2+, are only available for Astronaut A5 installations.
Lely Hub is the exception and can also be installed independently on farms with other Lely robots, such as Lely Astronaut A3, A4, A5, A5 Next and Lely Vector. Your local Lely Center can advise what applies to your specific setup.
